In Person Social Groups

Our welcoming Let’s Get Together monthly gatherings run for approximately two hours and typically feature an educational or arts-based presentation, along with time to socialize and connect with others. A pizza lunch is provided.

Free transportation may be available within our catchment area through our iRIDE service. Please ask about this during your onboarding appointment, as space is limited.

Please book a phone appointment with our intake specialist to learn more and sign up.

Online Social Activities

All of our online programs take place on Zoom. Participants are welcome to keep their camera on or off: whatever feels most comfortable. A variety of activities are offered throughout the week, and you can join as many or as few as you like.

  • Monthly presentations on topics such as wellness, finances, dementia prevention, and more
  • Brain Teasers –puzzles and riddles that challenge your thinking and spark creativity
  • Link Generations (Intergenerational Program) – Connect with youth through engaging activities. This program begins with one in-person session, followed by ongoing online gatherings

If you’re interested in joining, please call 437-339-6433 to register. A weekly calendar of events will be emailed to you once you’re signed up, so you can easily see what’s coming up and join the sessions that interest you.

We also have friendly visiting and friendly phone pal programs, through which you can be matched with a volunteer who has common interests and language/culture for one-on-one phone or in-person interactions. Our free Falls Prevention and Group Exercise Programs are also available online and in person.

Please see below for a calendar of upcoming in-person and online programs.

Edward and Mark, friends from Let's Get Together social group

Hear from our client, Mark:

“I like to stay active—having been an avid mountaineer—and I’m always looking for ways to fill my time with meaningful activities. Thanks to the Circle of Care, Edward and I, along with many others, connect regularly and share great moments. As it turns out, Edward and I are also neighbours who’ve known each other for a while, and we just happened to reconnect through this social group!”
