One-on-One Counselling
*Offered online/by phone/in person based on preference
Our social workers provide short-term, goal-oriented support to help you cope with:
- Caregiving stress and decision-making
- Life transitions related to aging
- Family or complex situations
- Emotional overwhelm or uncertainty
This includes both practical problem-solving and emotional support, depending on your needs. We do not provide urgent crisis intervention (i.e., medical crisis, metal health crisis, homelessness crisis) and are not able to offer long-term support to individuals suffering from severe mental illness.

Support Groups & Programs
*Offered online or in person, depending on the group
Sometimes it helps to talk to others who understand in a group setting. We offer professionally facilitated groups where you can:
- Share experiences in a safe, supportive space
- Learn coping strategies and tools
- Connect with others facing similar challenges
Groups focus on areas such as stress management, caregiving, and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT).
How to Get Started
If you’re unsure what kind of support you need, that’s completely okay. A phone appointment is the best place to start. In this one-on-one conversation, we will:
- Listen and understand your situation
- Answer your questions
- Help you clarify your needs
- Connect you to the right supports
Appointments are up to 45 minutes and offered by phone. Once you book a time that works for you, one of our specialists will contact you.
What Our Clients Are Saying
“Since my wife passed last year, I was lonely, grieving, and struggling with daily tasks. The social workers helped me get connected to personal care services and counselling – and a volunteer who call me for chats and comes visits me. I’m starting to feel more engaged and safer.”
-Bill, 87
“I am caring for my mom who has dementia while raising two teen boys and working full time. After my mom was diagnosed, I was feeling utterly overwhelmed. The social workers helped me understand what respite supports are available, showed me how to access them, and I even attended a great workshop on caregiving. It’s made a world of a difference – I feel like I have some breathing room now and can show up for my family with good tools and more energy.”
-Selma, 52
