About our Caregiver Supports
Caregivers, whether family members or friends, play an essential role in supporting their loved ones, often while balancing work, family responsibilities, and their own health. We understand this can be overwhelming and may lead to burnout.
To support you, we offer a range of services and resources, both within Circle of Care and in the broader community.
Ways We Support Caregivers
Short-Term Case Management and System Navigation
We can help connect you with the services and community resources you need, including government services, respite options, and in-home services.
Personal Support
Our Personal Support Workers can provide your loved one with support, including bathing, grooming and toileting, as well as light housekeeping or meal preparation. Your loved one may be eligible for government funded hours.
Adult Day Program
Our Adult Day Program (located at 9600 Bathurst Street, Unit 4) provides care and engaging programming to clients who are living with dementia or who are elderly and frail, while providing you with much needed respite and guidance. Your loved one may be available for government subsidized attendance.
Hospice & Bereavement Support
Our specialists and volunteers visit your home as part of our Hospice/Bereavement support program and provide companionship and respite, as well as emotional support to address anticipatory grief. These supports are free of charge.
Caregiver Support Groups
Our caregiver support groups give you the opportunity to connect with other caregivers, discuss common issues and feelings, learn coping strategies, and find out about community resources. These supports are free of charge.
1-on-1 Counselling Support & Future Planning
We offer short-term individual counselling sessions to provide emotional support, helping to address your wellbeing and coping skills. We can also assist you with future planning, including discussions about long-term care, medical needs, and funeral arrangements. These supports are free of charge.
Other Programs
We also make life easier for you and your loved one by offering friendly visitors and callers to check in, delivering Meals on Wheels, providing iRIDE drivers specially trained to support seniors, and hosting a variety of online and in‑person social groups to help you stay connected.

What Our Clients Are Saying
“My mom and I have always been close, so stepping into her care felt natural – but it quickly became overwhelming. Between my job, my own health challenges, and the reality of caring for someone who is bedbound, I was stretched past my limit. Having a Personal Support Worker through Circle of Care didn’t just help my mom – it truly gave me back some part of myself. I also joined the organization’s caregiver group, and there, found people who understand this kind of exhaustion without me having to explain it. That connection has mattered more than I can put into words.”
