Celebrating Community and Connection at The Grand Parade!

CEO Carey Lucki addresses the walkers prior to the start of the walk

On September 20, the Orchard Pavilion at Downsview Park was filled with energy, laughter, and the spirit of giving at Circle of Care’s Grand Parade. We were thrilled to welcome 161 walkers, 15 dedicated volunteers, and 18 enthusiastic teams for a day of fun, movement, and community.

The event kicked off with energizing exercises by two of our talented Circle of Care instructors, keeping spirits high and bodies moving. We then heard heartfelt remarks from our CEO, Carey Lucki, setting the tone for a celebration of connection and support. Our kids’ zone was a hit with crafts and activities, and the excitement continued through the whole event.

We are deeply grateful to our incredible sponsors: Chartwell, Wayne Safety, Print3 Yonge Street, Aroma’s World Kitchen, and our amazing DJ Emi. Their support of this event helped make it a success. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and celebratory, showing what’s possible when a community comes together.

Thanks to the generosity and participation of everyone involved, at the time of this article publication, we have raised over $26,000 to support our programs and services that aren’t funded through other means—providing essential help to seniors who are isolated, vulnerable, or in need of extra support.

A huge thank you to our volunteers, donors, staff, participants, and sponsors; your contributions make a real difference in the lives of the people we serve.
