"Close up two people's hands holding for support"

Hospice Volunteering

Bring comfort, dignity, and connection when it matters most, while gaining valuable training and experience in senior and end-of-life care.

Hospice volunteers create moments of comfort and connection for people at the end of their lives and their primary caregivers. We offer both a non-denominational hospice program and a program tailored to the Jewish community.

What Hospice Volunteers Do

Hospice volunteers provide a range of specialized, non-medical supports tailored to each client’s needs, including:

Companionship

Spending time with clients through conversation, reading, or simply being present

Emotional Support

Offering empathy, reassurance, and a calm presence

Caregiver Relief

Providing short-term respite for family members and caregivers

Practical Assistance

Supporting with light, non-clinical tasks that enhance comfort and quality of life, such as helping organize photos or writing legacy letters

Every visit and interaction helps someone feel less alone.

“I felt I was in the right place, at the right time, doing the right thing. I could see that I was making a difference.”
