We’re thrilled to share that our CEO, Carey Lucki, has been featured in Longwoods, a platform for health leadership and policy thought in Canada, with an article titled, “Bridging the Gap: Why Integrated Home and Community Care Matters for Seniors.” In it, Carey highlights the growing challenges faced by Ontario’s seniors—and the urgent need to reimagine how care is delivered.

While making a point for a greater investment in home and community care, she argues for a need for integration between home care and community support services. The current system is fragmented and confusing, with separate organizations handling home care and community supports, each with its own funding streams, communication channels, and care plans. This often leaves seniors and their caregivers overwhelmed, navigating a patchwork of services instead of receiving coordinated care. Carey makes a strong case for integrated organizations—like Circle of Care—that deliver both personal care and social supports under one roof, ensuring seniors receive timely, seamless, and person-centered care.

We’re proud to see Carey’s leadership recognized, and proud to be part of a model that truly supports seniors holistically.
