Caring Partners Social Group: Caring for Family with Mild Dementia or Chronic Illness

Are you caring for your partner or a parent who is living with mild dementia and/or a chronic illness?

Circle of Care’s 6-week Caring Partners Social Group offers you and your loved one the opportunity to socialize together, interact with other family partners, share common experiences, and develop new friendships.

Please join us to explore a range of activities open to all variations of familial caregivers and care receivers.

Every Wednesday from November 6 to December 11 from 2:00-4:00pm

Eligibility:

• The care recipient has early dementia, mild cognitive impairment or a chronic illness
• The caregiver & care recipient do not have long standing relational or communication problems
• The care recipient should be over 65 years of age
• Both participants are verbal and ambulatory (with or without a walker or cane)
• They must be willing to meet with program staff for a screening interview
