As we see shifts in our healthcare system and more demand for supports for seniors and their caregivers, we are actively thinking about how Circle of Care can lead the way towards better care for more people in our communities.
When we became part of Sinai Health integrated health system in 2015, we adopted a broad Vision, Mission, and Values that spoke to the shared identity among our organizations. As we progressed over time, we realized that focusing on our individual identity was valuable as well. We wanted to ensure that the vision, mission, and values of the organization communicate to our staff, clients, and everyone in the community what our purpose is, how we strive to fulfill it, and what values we hold dear. Sinai Health adopted a new vision, mission, and values in 2019, and we began work on establishing our own last year.
We worked with an external agency to gain extensive market research and conduct interviews and focus groups with partners, PSWs and volunteers. We asked our staff for feedback on a list of ideas through our digital surveys in early summer, and followed up with an in-person interactive consultation in late August.
To this end, we are proud to announce our updated Vision, Mission and Values. These principles represent a renewed commitment to our goals, reflect our growth and evolution, and provide a clear and inspiring direction for our future. They will guide and motivate us, ensuring that every action we take supports our goal to deliver exceptional care to those we serve.
Below is our new vision, mission, values, and legacy statement:
Vision: People living their best life with dignity, choice and joy
Mission: To provide exceptional, innovative care so people can stay independent, connected and safe in their homes and communities
Legacy Statement: Honouring our Jewish heritage by extending compassionate care to all, to build a connected, supportive community where no one feels alone.
